Just Following Orders

The doc advises, Slow down.
Miranda, ninety, drags her heels;
she maintains full-speed-ahead.

The doc insists, Don’t drive in town.
Miranda smiles, spins her wheels
at midnight on the beach, instead.

The doc decrees, with bark and frown,
Put your feet up after meals.
She does, by standing on her head.
