Histology
... then in some secluded seal lies the bone
Enclaved in a hardened plastic shell
Complementing the bone's own hardness
So that when the time comes for the blade,
The cut is even and smooth
And the white shaft is cleaved
To reveal something, hopefully fundamental,
About its origin: the carcass that once
Roamed.
