doing nothing with his
life
he decided to do nothing with his life
so now he stays at home
keeps the dogs company
cleaning, ironing occasionally
writing poetry
it gave him the idea
he could be a poet
that way
he could do nothing with his life
and people would admire him
so he stays at home
keeps the dogs company
writes poetry
and when people call
to see if he is doing
something with his life
he shows them
his poetry
offers to read it for them
mostly they decline
say the dogs are well cared for
the house clean and well ironed
and go away
shaking their heads
muttering
he stays at home
keeps the dogs company
cleaning, ironing occasionally
writing poetry
doing nothing with his life
