A Little
Pome
I thought I’d write a little pome
so full of love and without claws;
and just for you, and that’s because
it shines so fine in polychrome.
Out on the long roads I did roam
till I found you, and made a pause:
I thought I’d write a little pome
so full of love and without claws.
A pome from love’s light aerodrome
will never match the golden jaws
of reason; but with all its flaws,
and hoping you would take it home,
I thought I’d write a little pome.
