Two Glass
Poems
Evidence
She speaks clearly this time
without crying,
but if one listens closely
her words are like
old glass
with swirling striations
from being blown
and pushed
into shape.
So different
from the machine-made glass
they used to be.
Transparency
If one looks closely
at old glass
there are striations,
from being blown and pushed
into shape.
How different it is
from machine-made glass
that gives so little away.
