Drastic
Measures
Nature’s taste in plants
runs to the weedy.
The prettier the blossom
the more seedy.
Snakeroot and clover and violet
seem to run riot
while the shy fall anemone, for example,
are more quiet.
I’d like to put the roisterers on a diet.
