That Poem

The poem that I cannot write
Lurks somewhere in my brain.
I sometimes catch a word or two,
The snatch of a refrain.

I’ve written plenty of poems,
Some serious, some fun,
And yet I think I’d swap them all
For that one. It’s the truthful one.
