The Golden Cloth of the Sun
The golden cloth of the sun
polishes the sea, scrubs away the wrinkles,
the ripples, blotches, imperfections, crinkles.
For a brief shining dizziness
the sea is perfect as the sun.
Then day begins its breezy busyness.
