Curtain Up? Curtain Down?

The day that follows Halloween
This problem-laden year '19
Might mark the UK’s reborn pride?
Or simply national suicide?

As, yet again, the cliff-edge nears
Some doubters dare express their fears
While others claim, " A minor bump!
We'll land safe in the arms of *****!"
