Flowers of Westminster –
Everybody loves a sunflower,
a born leader oozing authority.
Not magnolia-regal but
a flower of the people,
twisting towards the sunlight
whichever way the wind blows.
In ascendance we look up to him
but time will strip away the finery
leaving a seedy legacy
If you have any thoughts on this poem, Martin John would be
pleased to hear them.
