Our Cup of Coffee
We were like a fine cup of gourmet coffee,
bold
rich
bursting with flavor,
complimenting each other with just-right
amounts of sugar and cream,
an aromatic dream—
but then we forgot to drink it,
misplaced our cup somewhere,
and we cooled
over time,
you and I became undrinkable.
