Gordian Knot A knotted snake upon my path surprised me with its struggles. I thought to put my hand to it to loose it generously. But when I touched its seething mass, insinuatingly it rolled and writhed right up my arm while still fixed in its predicament. It remained tied it could not loose it sibilantly told me but let it lick with clever tongue its knotted mystery to me not only would it come undone, it would be the undoing of me.
