Two Weeks is a Long Time in Love

“Does my waist look big in this?
Was it good for you?
Does your heart pound when we kiss?
Do you love me too?
Will you ever let me go?”

“No, yes, yes, yes, no.”

Time strips love’s blossoms from the bough,
and, after two weeks, I confess
the answers to your questions now

are, “Yes, no, no, no, yes.”
