A note from the guest-editor

For five years I wanted to do an alphabet Snakeskin, but nobody thought I’d get enough poems. Surprise! I got more than I needed, and was pleased to be able to say yes to several first-time Snakeskin contributors. A and X inspired the most letter poems, and led to some difficult decisions. I ended up leaving out altogether the alphabet-structured poems – the ones with each line or word in alphabetical order (forward or backwards), or other contrivances. I received dozens of these poems, some of them quite good, but in the end I decided the structure was just too limiting.
Well, that’s enough from me. Here’s the good stuff – some links to really cool alphabet-related things.
