Edward Thomas Poems
Edward Thomas Among the Birds
Friendship of blackbirds.
The yellowhammer:
tiny flamboyance

A wren, welcoming.
Edward

bird from this blasted field
that offers no hedge
in which to rest, no fence
on which to sing.
He flits.
