Write a short poem, he says. Eight lines, he says,
or less. Well, hell, I guess I had better do it. (2)
But about what? Happiness? I hate Happiness.
Inspirational? No, I don't fancy Inspirational. (4)
So what do poets write about? Love, Life, Nature,
Beauty, Romance, Passion...but I hate Passion. (6)
Where does that leave me? Family, Peace, War,
Death, Mother, God...Damn! I've got a poem here. (8)
