Biography

The health and growth-rate of a tree,
how hot or cold,
wet or dry,
long or short
its seasons were
can all be told from Dendrology.

And if between and through its rings
there are cracks
forming random paths to its centre
still its rings show the same things?

But it's easy to believe
that such weaknesses
were there before it died
and that the process of drying out
had simply allowed them to be seen.
