Three
Short Poems
The Storyteller
How vividly
the trees and clouds
career across the car's dark screens.
How easily
you tell his story
so separate from yourself.
Morning
As the shadow recedes
across our lawn
a thin strip of frost
lags behind.
Life's a spring
release it bit by bit
and you will miss it.
