How Cathedrals are
Built
Imagine
that York's Cathedral
had been built from the top
down, and with every new block
the weight on the scaffold
from which it hung
increased;
the strain on the rope
from which it dangled
became immense -
the impossible load
pulling between
its every stone;
the wrench of the ground
screaming
it cannot hold.
But do you give in
to gravity?
