“A Watery Lake Is Detected on Mars, Raising the Potential for
Alien Life”
—New York Times headline
Imagine—a real lake on Mars!
Our instruments show it’s no joke.
It even looks quite free of cars,
Meaning there’s no summer folk.
Any life there’s a million years old,
The water not all that clear,
Not to mention salty and cold.
The place lacks atmosphere.
But a Mars lake vacation’s a dream
That Space Tours Corp. may soon allow
As many investors scheme
To buy shorefront property now.

Mars.
