No Place for Me, This Day
No place for me, this day
of bright and endless sun
without one wisp of gray,
the sky a wide blue ocean
so open and pristine,
not even waves of cloud,
no shore that can be seen,
no curved and hidden road
to follow down, imagine,
this day too vast and straight,
no hint of rain or wind,
no cobbled path, no gate,
this day too clear, directionless,
no dusty light, one strand
to tell which way my mind, this
drifting boat should land.
