Making Monsters
Monsters roam the city streets
skulking along the darkling path
looking for victims to soothe their wrath
Monsters roam the city streets
Skulking along the darkling path
a measure of moonlight guides the way
and outlines the scene in shades of gray
Skulking along the darkling path
A measure of moonlight guides the way
He spots me as I turn to flee
I flail and fall and wrench my knee
A measure of moonlight guides the way
He spots me as I turn to flee
I clench my teeth against the pain
my fists entangle in his mane
He spots me as I turn to flee
I clench my teeth against the pain
No time to second-guess my move
This thing will find I’ve nothing to lose
I clench my teeth against the pain
No time to second-guess my move
Black rage replaces useless fears
and in its place new darkness rears
No time to second-guess my move
Black rage replaces useless fears
I’ll fight until the end, I vow –
use tooth and claw – who’s the monster now?
Black rage replaces useless fears
Monsters roam the city streets
skulking along the darkling path
looking for victims to soothe their wrath
Monsters roam the city streets
