Their World
Birds take for granted air,
fish water. Nothing’s there
is what they probably think,
until fish take a drink;
but even then I doubt
they stop to ask about
what’s clearly everywhere:
water clear as air,
or air, a nothing and
so hard to understand
no bird will even try.
It’s hard enough to fly.
Invisibility
is very hard to see.
