Remembrance
This is the silence which is pain
for those who will not speak again
or stir to stand here in the sun
who are to deeper silence gone
were we to count them, one-by-one
we’d need to stand here in the sun
until the sun and moon were gone
this is the silence which shouts out
do not forget.
We shall, no doubt.
