Con-spiracy
More and more people
these days believe
conspiracy theories
sane minds perceive
as not just unlikely
but so off the wall
such suckers would buy
any rubbish at all –
though why should we waste
our time, to complain
when spell-binding fraudsters
compete to explain
a world with – let’s face it –
neither justice nor sense,
where it’s prudent, but boring,
to sit on the fence
where not just the dumb
but the good and the bold
can be tricked by a trumped-
up tale they’ve been sold?
Still, a problem remains:
those believing such rot
end up expunging
those who do not.
