Pluto's Adolescence

I don't care what you say,
if I want my equator to point north,
it's up to me, and if that means
my pole points to the sun - tough.
And don't try and tell me
my orbit is eccentric - if I want
to pass in front of Neptune,
you can't stop me.
and you can tell that gang of moons,
Io, Europa, Ganymede, Callisto, Titan, Triton,
and Moon (Duh!) just because they're bigger then me,
it doesn't mean a thing - you can scrub me
from your astronomical maps,
you can call me a 'dwarf' all you want,
un-naming me does not get rid of me,
I won't wear rings like Saturn,
or get fat and gassy like Jupiter,
I will spin in my cold darkness,
not listening to anything
but the pounding music of the galaxies.
