dash
a heaven of metaphors

I might also
become
a metaphor
like my soul
when science disproves
my existence
too

against the wind

I pull my coat lapels
across each other

a bird tucks in
its wings

The Size of a Tiger

A man plays
Tears in Heaven
and a tiger sits down
next to him. And I think
of how I stroked a cat
I did not know
in my local park.

My life is that cat.
