Peter Beemish

                  a Canadian
scientist, who worked in The Department
of Fisheries during the latter quarter
of the twentieth century,
had a theory that the Russians
were spying on the United States and Canada
in submarines disguised
as whales.
These contraptions spouted sewage
through blow-holes
upon pleasure craft along the East, Gulf, and Pacific
Coasts of the United States of America,
as well as the East and West Coasts of Canada, making
outrageous stains on sails and bright-work.
Occasionally, while passengers chatted
on the foredeck or in an open cockpit,
a dollop of excrement
would find its way
into an open
mouth.
Patooey!
