Owl-Wise?

Why does the hoot owl have come-hither hoots, 
The you-hoots and ooh!-hoots it hoots every night?
When flying till daylight on resolute routes,
Why does the hoot owl have come-hither hoots?
Does hooting enhance its romantic pursuits,
Engendering hooters to follow its flight?
Why does the hoot owl have come-hither hoots,
The you-hoots and ooh!-hoots it hoots every night?
