In Praise of the Dewey Decimal Classification
Edition 21
On our newly installed
closed-circuit library TV,
I could see them
shagging stealthily upstairs.
Her knees shone white
beyond his hips.
Her tongue played
over his neck and cheek,
seeking out his lips.
They leant against
the PRIMATES shelves
where the MAMMALS section
of PURE SCIENCES (500-599)
gives way to the Six Hundreds below,
in which, if you delve, you find
HUMAN ANATOMY & PHYSIOLOGY;
so that her half-bare behind,
hefted by his greedy hands,
bounced faster and faster towards
the culmination of their furtive kicks
in GROWTH & REPRODUCTION (612.6).
